and peace to you! I want to remind you that the format for Nurturing
Faith has changed. The Scripture readings will be specifically chosen
with children in mind in terms of themes and length. A short explanatory
sentence accompanies each reading to help connect the Scriptures with the
prayers, which have been written more simply and are easier for children to
understand. The daily readings will more or less walk through the Bible,
focusing on those stories which are foundational to our Christian faith. A
memory verse and family time ideas will still be included.
If you have any concerns, questions, comments or suggestions, please forward them to me using the email address below.
At Good Shepherd, we will be handing
out these inserts at Sunday School, for the children to take home with them.
Included in our bulletin will be a different insert called “Read Through The
Bible” which corresponds with our emphasis this year on reading the Book of
Faith. If you prefer “Read Through the Bible” or if you would like it in addition to
Nurturing Faith, please let me know.
Again, I always welcome suggestions, ideas, and ways to improve these bulletin inserts. I pray that they are a blessing to your congregation and homes.
